Liwan Lake was excavated in 1958 by the voluntary labor of the people in Guangzhou under the leadership of Mayor Zhu Guang. The park covers an area of 300,000 square meters and consists of five lakes with a surface area of about 160,000 square meters. In the park, visitors can enjoy themselves while learning about cultural history.
