Xiguan cake is made of flour, lard, and syrup. Traditional techniques of kneading, rolling, wrapping, pressing and baking, as well as the Western-style baking techniques of stirring and grinding, are integrated during the process of making Xiguan cakes. Each Xiguan cake has thin skin and rich fillings.
